"I've found photography has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them."
Elliott Erwitt
Born in South America to loving parents, raised in the streets of New York City, attended Boy Scout meetings in NYPD precincts as a child, trained in the U.S. Marine Corps where I served honorably 8 years, a proud product of the public school system through college, having earned a degree in Political Science (International Relations), living in a little house on just about half an acre in Stafford, Virginia, and working for the U.S. Government as a Civil Servant of the people, I have much for which to be grateful. I shoot photographs, I listen to music, I love my family and I love my friends; I am no one without them.
"In music and photography, you start with nothing and try to make something beautiful."
Bryan Adams
Though this is not my official website, it is a temporary home to some of my favorite photographs. When I do transition to my official website, the URL
http://www.charlielondono.com will remain the same so there will be no need to memorize or bookmark a different web address; it will always be
http://www.charlielondono.com.
"In a sense, all things creative are similar. The eyes and ears aren't that far apart...literally or creatively."
Jakob Dylan
I hope you feel as comfortable visiting this site as I have felt shooting the photos you'll see here.
"I think music and photography are part of the same thing: it's rhythm, light, air, movement, focus - and more focus."
Lou Reed
And none of these photos would have been possible without the artists and musicians who inspire me, many of whom have become my friends. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
"Like music, photography is a form of universal language that can communicate an array of messages and can be a very powerful tool."
Mick Fleetwood
Oh, one more thing, feel free to download any of the photos you see in this site. All I ask is that you don't modify the image in ANY way, to include removing the signature. If you need any photo for any reason without the signature or modified in any other way, simply contact me and let me know what you need. And as you save images from this site, keep in mind you can select small, medium, large or orginal size. The original size is the largest and will consist of the highest resolution, so I recommend you open up that size THEN save.
"When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence."
Ansel Adams
